Our three year journey which taught us to hope

Posted by on Aug 6, 2015 in Book, Infertility, Kids | 0 comments

This week marks the three year journey of having children. Since the beginning of August, 2012, I’ve been pregnant, miscarrying or having children. What a journey! Below is excerpt from my upcoming book which will finally be done in August. Only fitting, huh? Enjoy! Entering into a Season of Hope As we moved onward from the third pregnancy, we entered a new season of hope. We knew we had to start enjoying the life God had given us, and to find joy in the little moments. Joy, as a fruit of the Spirit, is the one I’ve struggled with the most, and also the one I’ve understood the most. Because...

New occupation

Today for the first time I filled in Stay at Home Mom as my occupation. My sweet husband had given me a massage as a gift for Mothers Day. They asked what my occupation was and I hadn’t answered that question in a while. It was different, but made sense. This really is my new reality for the next few years. I’m still working through what that means and how to do it well. I got to sit and really think about what that means for me and my family. Strong willed children

He’s starting to push me away as he explores standing and other acrobatics. In having a child like this you realize a few things. One thing I wonder about is what Harrison’s life will be like.  What kind...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Live with gratitude and appreciation. Make good choices that produce residuals. (Matthew McCaughey) Gratitude is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Gratitude is something I have this Thanksgiving and it’s an attitude I’ve had to learn along the way despite my circumstances. My life past the age of 22 took unexpected twists and turns. Change had to happen in my attitude in order for gratitude to become my norm. Each twist and turn, aka challenge, has changed me into a more compassionate human being. This is or hasn’t been easy. The...

Happy Halloween

Never in my wildest dreams did I think having a kid would be so much fun, laughter and hard work. Harrison Shore came into this world on June 26th, 2014. It was a roller coaster ride to get him here. Being pregnant for 18 months out of the last two years proved to be harder than I imagined. Losing 3 kids before him ended up being as hard as what I experienced during my first marriage, www.heathervshore.com/dv-story/. More on the infertility story later. But no more sadness… look at how stinking cute he is. He is our pride and joy and I’m honored to be his mother. Can’t wait to see what sweet...
